The MIC-15k1 meter is designed to measure the resistance of electrical energy objects, that is:
single-core and multi-core cables,
transformers,
motors and generators,
capacitors, switches and other equipment installed in power stations.
It is especially recommended for measurements in areas with very high electromagnetic disturbances, for example: electrical substations with 120 kV AC and 500 kV. Thanks to the measurement voltage of 15 kV (according to ANSI / NETA ATS-2009 Tables 100.1) the meter can be used to measure objects with a nominal voltage higher than 34.5 kV
Characteristics:
Diagnostics of insulation systems based on standard measurements of IR, DAR, PI, SV, RT, DD, expanded with the partial discharge indicator (PD) for each of these measurements.
It allows to test the electrical durability of the tested object: indication of breakdown voltage.
High resistance to electromagnetic interference ensures uninterrupted work in power plants and near high voltage transmission lines up to 1200 kV AC and 500 kV DC.
The function of smooth increase in voltage over time (RT – Ramp test) allows establishing partial discharges in the installation and making a partial location of their occurrence.
Highly efficient HV inverter rated at ~ 150W allowing insulation wear, allowing wire location and wire shorting to be identified using one of the following:
visual method (if the power cables are visible along the entire length),
Reflectometric methods, seismic-acoustic wave detector, or with A frame to indicate the direction of the fault (the conductor must be buried in the ground with direct contact to the ground).
Compatible with external software.
